Google’s Mobilegeddon Pushing Down Website’s Mobile SEO Rankings If Not Mobile-Friendly

Recently, I logged into my adsense account and saw this alert at the top of my screen…


Since a huge number of internet users are now using their mobile devices to access the internet, and google being the top dog of the search engines; google now wants ALL websites to be mobile-friendly.


So if your site is not mobile-friendly, Google will push down your search engine rankings (for mobile users only) regardless of how many quality backlinks you have, or how awesome your content is. Read it from google, click here.

Mobilegeddon, The Bad News:

If your site is not mobile-friendly, your site will be ranked lower for mobile users. So, now you have to spend some time and money to create a mobile version of your website.

Mobilegeddon, The Good News:

If your site is using a newer wordpress theme or have a responsive theme of some sort, then your site may already be mobile-friendly. uses a reponsive wordpress theme, therefore, it is already mobile friendly.

Now you can outrank some of those older websites that have established themselves at the top of the search engine rankings since the dinosaur age. But those older websites may not be aware or too lazy to update their sites to be mobile-friendly, this is now your chance to overtake them!
